Your first bulk edit: a step-by-step walkthrough
Overview
This guide walks you through making your first bulk price edit in BulkOps — applying a 10% price increase to all products in a specific collection.
Step 1 — Open the bulk editor
In BulkOps, click Products in the left sidebar. You'll see your full product catalog.
Step 2 — Filter to the products you want
Use the filter bar at the top to narrow down the products:
- Collection: select the collection you want to edit
- Product type: filter by type
- Vendor: filter by vendor
- Tag: filter by tag
- Price range: filter by current price
For this example, select your target collection. The product count in the header updates in real time.
Step 3 — Configure the edit
Click New Edit and choose Price as the field to edit.
Set the operation to Increase by percentage and enter 10.
Step 4 — Preview before applying
Click Preview. BulkOps shows you a table with every affected product, its current price, and the calculated new price. Scroll through and verify the results look correct.
If something looks wrong — wrong products selected, wrong calculation — click Back to adjust your filter or operation before applying.
Step 5 — Apply
Click Apply Edit. BulkOps processes the changes in the background. A progress bar shows the status. For large catalogs (thousands of products), this typically takes 1–3 minutes.
Step 6 — Verify and undo if needed
Once complete, BulkOps shows a summary of changes. You can view the before/after for any product.
If you made a mistake, click Undo on the operation in History. This reverts all changed products to their prices before the edit.
Tips for your first edit
- Always preview before applying — it's the most important step
- Start with a small filter (one collection or tag) before editing your entire catalog
- Check the History tab after editing — it's your audit trail
