Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

BulkOps ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify application operated by Darsh Labs. Our app is available at apps.shopify.com/bulkops and our website is at bulkops.ai.

2. What data we collect

When you install BulkOps, we access the following data via the Shopify Admin API:

• Product & catalog data — titles, prices, descriptions, tags, metafields, inventory, collections, discounts, markets, and metaobjects, including all fields you choose to bulk edit. We store this to enable undo, version history, and scheduled operations.
• Customer data — when you use customer-related features (customer segmentation, bulk customer edits, and discount targeting), we access and store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, tags, and metafields. This is protected customer data under Shopify's terms; we use it solely to provide the features you request and never for advertising.
• Order data — order numbers, totals, line items, financial and fulfillment status, and the contact and address details associated with an order. Used for profit metrics and bulk order operations.
• Shop information — store name, domain, plan, currency, and timezone. Used to configure the app correctly.
• Store owner email — for account notifications and support communication.

We collect only the data needed to provide the features you use. We do not collect payment card details or buyers' browsing history, we never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.

3. How we use your data

• To execute the bulk edits, formula pricing, segmentation, discount targeting, and scheduled campaigns you configure across your products, customers, and orders
• To store version history so you can restore product data
• To calculate profit metrics and product health scores
• To send transactional emails (campaign notifications, backup confirmations)
• To provide customer support
• To generate anonymised, aggregated peer benchmarks (Pro plan only) — no individual store data is ever identifiable in benchmarks

We never sell your data. We never use your data for advertising.

4. Where your data is stored

All of your store data — including product, order, and protected customer data — is stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in the United States, encrypted at rest with AES-256 and encrypted in transit with TLS. GCP is also Shopify's primary hosting provider. Backups are stored in the same region as your primary data. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

5. Data retention

While BulkOps is installed, we retain your product, order, and customer snapshots according to your plan (30–180 days of history). When you uninstall BulkOps, we delete all of your store's data within 48 hours, in line with Shopify's shop/redact requirement. We also honor Shopify's customer privacy webhooks: on a customers/redact request we permanently remove that customer's personal data from our systems, and on a customers/data_request we compile the data we hold for that customer and provide it to the store owner. Anonymized aggregate data (used for benchmarks) is retained indefinitely but cannot be traced back to your store or any individual.

6. Third-party services

BulkOps uses the following sub-processors:

• Google Cloud Platform — data storage and compute
• Anthropic Claude API — AI content generation (only the product data you explicitly select for AI generation is sent)
• Resend / Loops.so — transactional email delivery
• Sentry — error monitoring (stack traces only, no user data)

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of all data we hold about your store
• Request deletion of all your data (triggers immediate uninstall + deletion)
• Opt out of transactional emails (except critical security notices)

8. Changes to this policy
